Polyol Pigment Dispersions are of two broad types: concentrated dispersions of selected pigments in Polyether polyol; and very liquid low pigment level dispersions in DOP (dioctyl phthalate). New pigments are regularly added to the range, and specials are catered for (with a minimum batch size required).
The products in this range are standardised by mass. This means that a mass addition of these products will always yield the same strength and tone.
These products are 100% solids. This means that the end user will know precisely what is being put into the final product. The essential ingredients are pigment and vehicle. With some select pigments, a small quantity of surfactant is added to assist in processing.
With the exception of the DOP containing products, these products are highly concentrated. This means more colouring material for the dollar spent.
The polyether polyol containing products are reactive and form part of the final polyurethane matrix.
Polyol Pigment Dispersions are products that find an application in the polyurethane industry. These products can be used to colour a variety of different polyurethane systems, including elastomers, integral skin and rigid or semi-rigid foams. Colour Dispersion Company technical staff will assist in determining whether the final product or process can benefit from the use of these pigment dispersions.
